The D-5 is a heavy duty drilling machine for the commercial printer and busy In-Plant alike, offering extremely good value for money. A rugged construction incorporates solid castings for absolute rigidity. The unique programming facility is quick to set for any size and combination of holes, and microadjustment enables accurate positioning. Direct drive from the 2875 R.P.M. induction motor ensures smooth, effortless operation, enabling a 50mm plie to be drilled in less than one second. Standard Equipment - 3 hollow drill bits (4, 5, 6mm), 5 fiber plugs, 4 adjustable stops and a standard 80mm stop-guage. Tools for maintenance included cleaning awl, sharpner for hollow drill bits, 3 L-shaped wrenches, spare screws and a whet-stone. Optional Equipment - Hollow drill bits of 3, 3.5, 4, 4.5, 5, 5.5, 6, 6.5, 7 and 8mm diameters. Stop-gauges for use when over 4 holes per drilling operation is needed. 36 hole, as well as computer form, stop-gauges are available. *Stop-gauges with 80mm spacing between holes and 4 adjustable stops for free spacing of holes are standard. *Optional 36 hole, 9.5mm spacing for Book leaf binder; 40hole, 6.35mm spacing for Punch card; 26 hole, 12.7mm spacing for Computer form stop-gauges are available. *Back margin adjustable from 0 to 215mm. *Chips pass thru hollow drill bit and empty in waste chute. *Spring-activated trip handle automatically releasese table to be moved to next drilling position and locks table into position. *Hollow drill bits are made of specially treated tool steel. *High-speed motor for fast, clean, vibration free drilling.
